This design was inspired by a wonderful customer named Linda. She had some extra molding material left over from her fingerprint order, and she experimented with her pups' paws. We then decided to cut and shape them into this pretty heart shape! I think the end result is charming, and I'm thrilled to share it with you.
Each side of this heart has a different puppy's paw pad print - perfect for those of us who have more than one furry friend. Each paw pad is shaped in silver and then hand-cut and formed in the heart shape you see in the sample photos. Initials can be hand-stamped on the back so you know whose pad is whose - or, if you'd prefer, I can stamp full names or a short message. The finished heart pendant measures approximately 3/4" at its fullest point.
If you have just one special puppy, this necklace can also be done as a single paw pad heart rather than a two-sided. Please send me an email if you're interested in this option.
After firing, the Puppy Love pendant is then oxidized and polished to highlight all of the unique bumps, ridges, and gullies that make up your pup's footprint. A sterling silver jump ring is soldered to the center of the pendant, and your necklace will include an 18" sterling silver cable chain. The chain is left shiny as default, but if you'd like it oxidized (blackened), please just ask upon checking out.
